The Name Change and Little Peeks

The change from Winter Moon to Melancholy & Menace has been
a seemingly painless one and so far, quite straight-forward.

The reason for my change is equally simple...

My Winter Moon accounts were all hacked and
I've been unable to access any of them since.  There
are also far too many people using the Winter Moon
name, via shops and blogs these days, anyway.

The new name was actually my daughter's idea and
I adore it.  It's unique, interesting and I love being
able to design fresh new shop/social media banners.

I've been trying to redecorate my workroom for
quite a while, and although a lot of it is
complete, it's far from being finished.

Today I thought I'd give you a few little peeks into
the world of Melancholy and Menace.

I love this Madame Talbot poster.
It's framed and ready to hang.

Filing and storage cabinets are a must in this room!

A vintage Jones sewing machine and plenty of Sylko thread.

Frame everything!  Especially vintage postcards.

This vintage camera collection is
ready to be placed on display.

This Zenit 3m is one of my favourite working models.

Another Madame Talbot poster, because a home is never complete with just one.

Have a wonderful week!

  1. I must say, l do love black/white photos,
even sepia ones, still have a lot of my
Grandparents, in Sicily, and they All look
like gangsters! HeHe! With their gowns, big
hats and frilly bits...and that's just the
men...No! No! Joke! Joke! The men...well...
    if looks could kill..! :).
Ah! The old days..take me back! Please!

Ah! The old Jones sewing machine, l always
had a Singer..till it jammed up. Then my
Mama, gave me her old Jones, electric..What
a horrid thing that was! I only sew simple
things, don't need one to make the tea! :).
So it's all done by hand now...!

Pick your Blog up o'k now Yvonne...Though
only through my reading list, not via my
    profile list...Still, it's o,k, at least
l can find you...HeHe! Is that good or bad..! :).

    1. I do love the sound of your old photos and also prefer black and white.

I used to have a Singer, but the presser bar, which has the foot attached to it, snapped somehow, and I decided not to keep it as a display model as I had quite a few sewing machines at the time.

I think my blog isn't showing up in your profile list because I don't have a profile on here, or it could be because I changed the domain name from to and my blog needs to be re-followed, perhaps.

  2. I did a re~follow a while ago...still the same!
Also...There's a different image on the followers
pics..above! Should be a pic of pussy~cat George,
as on all the others! On here it's the image of the
    Sicilian flag! Strange!
Never's no problem, at least l get to see
    your Blog! :).

  3. Your workroom is looking wonderful Yvonne - what a lovely space to be creative in. I had trouble finding you when you relocated but am awfully pleased I did !!! LoVe the new name too :-)

  4. I had no idea they had hacked your accounts. How terrible. I was convinced that you just found a lovelier name, and that was all. I'm so sorry that happened to you. I know that when something similar happened to my Pagan Culture blog I was very upset. It took quite a while to get back on my feet.

I'm so glad the new name is not just perfect, but also comes with history--since your daughter came up with it. It will always be special... and sooo perfect for your shop and the mood of your blog.

    1. Ah, I didn't realise Pagan Culture had been hacked. I'm sorry to hear that. I don't understand why people have nothing better to do with their time.

I do love the new name. Thank you for all the lovely words, as always, Magaly :)

  5. I am so sorry that your accounts were hacked! Stupid people! I do love Melancholy and Menace! Very original! Very cool!
I love, love, love your work room!!!
    Big Hugs!

  6. Hello dearest!
I am not as much on blogger these days, but I have been trying to reach you on Whatsap but I can't seem to get through..?
    Hope you are ok, hugs!

    1. Hello ☺

My mobile phone is damaged beyond repair. At first I felt a bit lost without it but am getting quite used to not having one. I miss keeping in touch with everyone on WhatsApp and Instagram.

I hope all is well with you.

  7. Love your vintage camera collection. I have one too, which I must blog about some time! xxx

    1. Thank you. You most definitely should. I'd love to see your collection. xx
