Beautiful Freaks Fest (and a winner)

I'm rather late to the party as I've just arrived home from
work and realised I hadn't completed my post.

But hey, I do like to make a dramatic entrance,
so let's begin the proceedings...

For my contribution to the party, I
thought I'd share a few of the beautiful
freaks from Tim Burton's book...

The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy
(and other stories)

I'm afraid I haven't been at all creative for this fest,
but unfortunately, time just wasn't on my side.

I do hope you enjoyed reading a few snippets of
Mr Burton's book though, anyway.

Don't forget to visit Magaly's or Emma's blog
for more wonderfully beautiful freaks.

Now for the giveaway.

The winner of Monday's book...

...is number (5)

Congratulations, dear Magaly.

I will get your book sent to you very soon.

~

It's past midnight here, and I'm off to bed.
I'm excited about visiting everyone's posts
though, and will do so very soon.

That's all Folks!

  2. Enjoyed the sayings in Tim Burton's book...
And the 'drawings' to...(sorry can'y spell
illustrations). Loved the Match Stick Boy,
and Match Stick Girl..wonder if her name
    was Vesta...! :).

And, well done to Magaly for winning the
    star prize! :).

    1. The poems with each one are much longer. I've just given the first verse of each. Vesta would be a perfect name for The Match Stick Girl :D

  3. This is perfect! Voodoo Girl is my favourite freak from this bunch! ♥

Thank you so much for participating. And don't worry, I just barely got my post done in time! *gulp* :D You can place a link directly to this post in the new linky on either my blog or Magaly's.

And congrats to Magaly on winning the book!

  4. First of all, SQUEEEEEALLLL! How cool is that? Thanks so much. And to see my winnings paired with one of my favorite Burton bits. What else could a Beautiful Freak ask for? You chose some of my favorites, too--Staring Girl and Voodoo Girl *giggles*. Ha! I just noticed that VG is Emma's favorite, too. Great minds, creepy likes I guess...

Thanks again. I'm all cackles and giggles.

  5. Oh how I love Tim Burton. I actually just had my original portrait that I drew of him and Jack selected and now on display at Beetle House LA/Hollywood. He has been such an inspiration to me.
