Famous Readers

I love finding images of famous people reading, even though
most of the time it's a promotional photo for their latest film,
album or book release.

Here are a few of my favourites...

Robert Smith with a copy of Lolita, by Vladimir Nabokov.

James Dean, reading The Complete Poetical
Works of James Whitcomb Riley.

Paul Newman, reading The Garrick Year, by Margaret Drabble.

Jennifer Connelly, reading The Labyrinth.
The book was written after Jim Henson's Film.

Humphrey Bogart reading Dark Passage, by David Goodis.
Bogart starred in the Film Noir which derived from this book.

Gregory Peck reading To Kill a Mocking Bird, by Harper Lee.
He played the role of Atticus Finch in Robert Mulligan's
film adaptation of the book.

Stephen King reading Lee Child's novel, Tripwire.
This is the third book in the Jack Reacher series.

Judy Garland reading a copy of The Wizard of Oz, by L. Frank Baum.
The book was first published in 1900 and entitled The Wonderful
Wizard of Oz. The film was released in 1939.

Have a wonderful day, and happy reading!
